15 student-athletes joined Jessica Krauser and her supporters on the pickleball courts

DELAWARE, OH - Having fun for a good cause was the theme for Team Cohesion student-athletes on Wednesday night at the Pickle Shack.Cohesion Foundation partnered with 15 members of the Ohio State Women’s Volleyball Team to raise awareness for Parkinson’s Disease with nonprofit group 5KforJK.

5KforJK was started in October 2021 with a 5K race in Powell to raise funds for the Michael J. Fox Foundation for Parkinson’s Research in the name of Jessica Krauser who was diagnosed with early on-set Parkinson’s at just 37 years old.On Wednesday night, student-athletes from the volleyball team visited the Pickle Shack to listen to Jessica’s story, learn about her creation of The First Step Set, and play a few competitive pickleball games with 5KforJK supporters. Pickleball is a great exercise option for those diagnosed with Parkinson’s because of the hand-eye coordination training.
